description The invention relates to a material for protecting a metal pipe for the transport of fluids, placed on the ground, in the air or immersed into the sea water, to a process and an installation for obtaining the material and to an installation for applying the same, as well as to protection systems. The material as claimed by the invention, comprises an epoxy composite formed directly on the pipe and a reinforcing support. According to the invention, the process for producing the material consists in that the epoxy resin and the curing component are produced separately. The claimed installation comprises some vertical reactors (), provided with some rotary anchors (), the liquid phase transport being provided by some pumps (), and, for dosing the pulverous materials, a scale () is provided. The claimed process for applying the material consists in that the epoxy composition formation is carried out upon it being applied on the pipe by the dosed component mixing, the formed mixture being directed simultaneously on both sides of the reinforcing support, at the moment of applying by spraying onto the pipe, 1 up to 12 layers being wounded, layers overlapping of up to 50% of the support width being provided, with controlled tensioning. The claimed installation for applying the material consists of: some containers () with epoxy and curing components, some stirrers (), some gearmotors (), some pumps () and some circuits for extracting the expoxy component, supplying the proportioner, some systems for supporting, rotating and translating the pipe, unrolling the reinforcing support, tensioning and directing and heating the pipe after depositing the protection material. The claimed protection systems consist of 1 up to 12 layers.
