CARDBOARD PALLETS AND PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

The invention relates to pallets whose structure is manufactured from corrugated cardboard in various size ranges and to a process for manufacturing the same. The claimed pallets consist of longitudinal legs (), transverse legs (), strength cross-bars (), some slots () cut out in the structure of the legs, to allow the entry of the forks of the lift truck under the pallets, and at the upper side of the pallets, there can be applied a plate, also made of corrugated cardboard, or there can be carried out some cut outs adapted to the geometry of the bodies which will be stored on the pallets. The claimed process consists in carrying out each longitudinal leg () and each transverse leg () from a single corrugated cardboard plate which, by successive foldings, forms a hollow structure, at the level of each leg some joining recesses () being manufactured by stamping, by means of said recesses, the longitudinal and transverse legs (), respectively, are assembled in the same horizontal plane, and the reinforcing cross-bars () are manufactured from a laminated structure () carried out by overlapping some rectangular profiles of corrugated cardboard plates cut so that the direction of the corrugation is perpendicular to the length of the cross-bar (), the laminated structure () being wrapped subsequently with a sleeve () made of corrugated cardboard which is fixed by means of an adhesive layer (), the number of layers within the structure of each constructive element of the pallets being correlated with the final dimension thereof and also with the static and dynamic loads which the pallets are supposed to resist to.
