description The invention relates to a method and a system for the on-line monitoring of a high-voltage electric substation. The claimed monitoring system consists of a first analogical alternating current input block (2), a second alternating voltage input block (3), a third unified signal input block (4) and a fourth digital input block (5), a data acquisition system (6) provided with data and signals memory (7) and a real-time clock (8) communicating with an expert system (9) consisting of a data processing block (10), a knowledge base (11) containing a data base and a system of rules, an inference motor block (12) and a block (13) ensuring the interface with other systems, the information processed by the expert system (9) being transmitted to a digital output interface (14) and a system of relays (15) permitting adaptation to some control, protection and signalling circuits of an electric substation.
