Zusammenfassung: | The invention relates to a process and a plant for electrolytically refining metals, as well as for any type of liquid-phase electrodeposition and electrolytic coating. According to the invention, the process consists in concomitantly applying both a direct current and an alternating current to the electrodes of an electrolytic cell and to a grid located therebetween, said current having preset energy, frequency and signals, depending on the characteristics of ions in the electrolyte, on the existence of the electrical double layer, on the redox processes and the secondary effects actually occurring in the electrolyte. The claimed plant comprises an electrolytic cell (1) containing an electrolyte (2) wherein there are introduced two electrodes (A and K), namely an anode and a cathode, coupled by means of some capacitors (Cand C) to a high frequency A.C. generator (3) and also coupled to a D.C. source (4), a grid (G), made of stainless steel mesh having, preferably, a thickness of 0.1 mm and the mesh side of 3 mm, being placed between the said electrodes and connected to the high-frequency current generator (3). |
