Protection and clamp package

The invention relates to a protection and clamping package (100) for a spectacle lens or a spectacle lens blank, comprising a support device (140, 141), which spans an imaginary plane in order to support the spectacle lens on the rear surface edge thereof in a support position in a predefined receiving chamber, and at least one clamping lever element (146a-e, 147a-e, 148a-e, 149a-e), which can be brought into abutment against the spectacle lens and which is designed so as to transmit torque to the spectacle lens relative to a fulcrum in order to hold the spectacle lens in the predefined receiving chamber, wherein the fulcrum is located either at a distance to the imaginary plane on the side opposite the predefined receiving chamber of the spectacle lens, or the fulcrum is located in the imaginary plane, or the fulcrum is located at a distance to the imaginary plane on the side of the predefined receiving chamber of the spectacle lens, which distance is smaller than the maximum extension of the vertical projection of the predefined receiving chamber into a plane perpendicular to the imaginary plane in a perpendicular direction perpendicular to the imaginary plane.
