Method of producing isocyanate component of a polyurethane glue

The method of producing an isocyanate component of a polyurethane glue out of glycol, tolylene diisocyanate, polyoxypropylenediols with the molecular weight of 2000-6000, with possible use of a known catalyst and toluene and cyclohexanon as solvents. Characterized in that: A mixture of polyoxypropyl...

description The method of producing an isocyanate component of a polyurethane glue out of glycol, tolylene diisocyanate, polyoxypropylenediols with the molecular weight of 2000-6000, with possible use of a known catalyst and toluene and cyclohexanon as solvents. Characterized in that: A mixture of polyoxypropylenediol with the molecular weight of 2000-6000 and glycol, with the glycol content of 8 percent by mass, is subjected to reaction with tolylene diisocyanate. A mixture of polyoxypropylenediol with the molecular weight of 2000-6000 and glycol, with the glycol content of 8 percent by mass, is subjected to reaction with tolylene diisocyanate. }The reaction may be carried out in the presence of 0.8 percent by mass of a known catalyst, while the ratio by mass of polyoxypropylenediol to tolylene diisocyanate is within the range of 1:1.07-1.1, preferably 1:1.1. Then, the product of the reaction is dissolved in toluene or a mixture consisting of 50 percent by mass of cyclohexanone and 50 percent by mass of toluene, while mono-, di- or tri-ethylene or mono-, di- or tri-propylene glycols are used. Preferably, the monopropylene glycol should be used.
