description | The present utility model is a water retort machine which can sterilize foods in any retortable containers and extend its shelf life. The main element of the present utility model is the retort vessel itself with cover to cover a generally cylindrical main pressure vessel, the water retort body. Said water retort body generally contains removably mounted seals and instruments to lock and monitor the process respectively, and is configured to accommodate product basket which is perforated to allow steam to pass during the operation and sterilize the food in pouches, cans ad glass jars. An LPG tank provides fuel to the burner under the retort vessel, while an air compressor supplies the compressed air to control the decline of pressure while the food is being cooled down. A pressurized water pump storage tank supplies water to be steamed and also during the cooling process, while a water pump which forces the water to circulate whenever necessary during the retort operation. A cooling water storage supplies water to the pressurized water pump storage tank through the drain valve which allows water in the retort to be flushed. A mobile frame provides the entire assembly modular, portable and mobile character. |
