description Provided is a heat exchange unit in which it is difficult for a refrigerant to reach an electrical component unit even when using a flammable refrigerant. According to the present invention, an outdoor unit (20) constituting a portion of an air conditioning device (1) and connected to an indoor unit (30) through a liquid-side refrigerant communication pipe (6) and a gas-side refrigerant communication pipe (5) is provided with: an outdoor housing (50); an outdoor heat exchanger (23) installed inside the outdoor housing (50) and having a refrigerant flowing therein; a liquid-side closing valve (29) connected to the liquid-side refrigerant communication pipe (6); a gas-side closing valve (28) connected to the gas-side refrigerant communication pipe (5); and an outdoor electrical component unit (8) provided inside the outdoor housing (50), wherein the refrigerant is a flammable refrigerant containing at least 1,2-difluoroethylene, and the outdoor electrical component unit (8) is installed such that the lower end thereof is positioned higher than the liquid-side closing valve (19) and the gas-side closing valve (28).
