description 595371 A mixing station for mixing at least two bulk solid materials, wherein at least one of these materials has variations in particle size distribution, comprises a first gravimetric mixer and a second mixer. The first gravimetric mixer is formed as a silo (9) with an upper part having plural chambers (see 4 & 4', figure 3b) for homogenisation of at least one of the materials, and includes a converging lower hopper (2") with an outlet (3). In use, the material having variations in particle size distribution is fed sequentially into the plural chambers of the first gravimetric mixer, where all chambers are then discharged simultaneously via the hopper to mix the particles in a combined mass flow. The second mixer is provided for mixing the homogenised material from the first gravimetric mixer with the other of the at least two bulk solid materials. A method for mixing at least two bulk solid materials is also provided.
