Zusammenfassung:	The invention concerns a defective recombinant virus and preferably an adenovirus characterised in that it comprises at least two nucleic acids coding for distinct enzymes, proteins and/or co-factors involved in the reverse transfer of cholesterol, said nucleic acids being operationally bound to a transcriptional promoter and mutually separated by a sequence coding for an internal entry site of the IRES ribosome. The invention further concerns plasmid constructs useful for preparing these adenovirus, and cells transformed by these plasmids or adenovirus and pharmaceutical compositions containing said adenovirus.
