Zusammenfassung:	A description is given of a method for producing an optical-fibre cable composed of a plurality of optical fibres which are situated next to one another in a plane and are embedded jointly in a layer composed of a UV-cured synthetic resin (ribbon cable). The optical fibres, which are fed in in a horizontal direction, are wetted by the as yet liquid synthetic resin and guided, extending in direct contact parallel to one another and towards one another in a horizontal plane, through a mould having a slot corresponding to the external dimensions of the ribbon cable, the liquid resin that adheres to the optical fibres being pressed into the interstices between the optical fibres and filling up the latter at least partially. The resin is cured by means of UV radiation directly after exiting from the mould.
