description Disclosed is a method for relieving heavy metal stress of solanaceous fruit vegetables in the 5 technical field of agricultural production. An NAA solution is sprayed to the leaf surfaces and leaf backs of tomato seedlings from the time when the third true leaves of the tomato seedlings are unfolded to the time when the seventh true leaves appear, wherein the concentration of the NAA solution is 0.5 umol-L'1. Treatment using an exogenous auxin substance reduces the upward translocation of cadmium; and through accumulation at the root system, the growth of the shoots 10 is recovered. In the present invention, by applying exogenous NAA and an inhibitor thereof, the auxin is proved to have the ability of relieving the tomato cadmium stress and promoting the growth of the plant and the root system as well as the biomass accumulation of the shoots and the roots, thereby relieving the stress damage to some extent.
