The methods of the present invention allow a user to customize and optimize an insulin bolus delivery protocol, i.e., bolus volume and delivery duration, by factoring in or compensating for the user's current or substantially current blood chemistry evaluation and/or the user's anticipated and/or actual carbohydrate intake. Se proveen dispositivos, sistemas y metodos para controlar de manera remota la administracion de medicacion a un paciente por medio de una bomba de medicacion por infusion, tal como una bomba para infusion subcutanea, y para controlar de manera remota el monitoreo de uno o mas analitos del fluido fisiologico tal como mediante un dispositivo de medicion percutanea; los sistemas de la presente invencion incluyen una bomba para medicacion por infusion y un "dispositivo de sujecion" de sujecion manual para el control remoto de la bomba para infusion y/o dispositivo de medicion; ademas del control remoto de la bomba de insulina y del dispositivo de medicion, el dispositivo de sujecion se provee para la consolidacion de los datos de quimica sanguinea y los datos de administracion de insulina sobre un periodo de tiempo y mantiene dichos datos consolidados para recuperacion inmediata o tardia por el usuario o un medico; los metodos de la presente invencion permiten a un usuario acomodar y optimizar un protocolo de administracion del bolo de insulina, por ejemplo, volumen de bolo y duracion de la administracion, mediante la factorizacion o compensacion de la evaluacion de quimica sanguinea actual o substancialmente actual del usuario y/o la toma de carbohidratos anticipada y/o actual del usuario.
