La presente invención se refiere a un método para preparar el compuesto de piripiropeno de la Fórmula i (ver Fórmula) en donde el método comprende las siguientes etapas: i) someter un compuesto de piripiropeno de la fórmula piripiropeno A a una hidrólisis alcalina para obtener 1,7,11-trideacetilpiripiropeno A, ii) hacer reaccionar 1,7,11-trideacetilpiripiropeno A obtenido en la etapa i) con cloruro de ciclopropancarbonilo, a fin de obtener un producto crudo que contiene el compuesto de piripiropeno de la Fórmula I; iii) someter el producto crudo de la etapa ii) a cristalización para obtener un compuesto cristalino de piripiropeno de la Fórmula I y un licor madre; y iv) reciclar el licor madre o una fracción de este que contiene el compuesto de piripiropeno a la hidrólisis alcalina de la etapa i). |
