La presente invención consiste en el diseño y la construcción de una nueva celda de combustible microbiana basada en biocomposta, que puede acelerar el proceso de degradación junto con la generación de energía para los dispositivos electrónicos (reloj y LED). La celda consiste en: un terminal positivo basado en fieltro de grafito como colectores de corriente sumergidos cerca de la superficie de la raíz de la biocomposta y un terminal negativo (expuesto al aire) que consiste en electrodos metálicos (Al, Zn, Cu y etc.) ambos colocados en una barra de arcilla o lignosulfonato (separador ace). Este proceso tiene el potencial de proporcionar biocomposta mientras genera energía eléctrica de manera ecológica.
