The container has a non-circular shape. The container has a horizontal cross-section with end portions that have a constant radius along their length and side portions that have a changing radius along their length wherein the end portions and the side portions transition between each other continuously. Se provee un recipiente para productos alimenticios apilados, tales como papas fritas. El recipiente incluye un laminado compuesto que incluye una o más capas de cartón corrugado. El recipiente tiene una conformación no circular. El recipiente tiene una sección transversal horizontal con porciones de extremos que tienen un radio constante a lo largo de su longitud, y porciones laterales que tienen un radio cambiante a lo largo de su longitud, en donde las porciones de extremos y las porciones laterales pasan unas entre otras continuamente.
