Se describen métodos de manufactura de nanocompuestos de hidróxido de cobre, óxido cuproso y óxido cúprico con nanoplaquetas de grafeno por medio de tratamientos de mezclado de alta intensidad o ultrasónicos de mezclas de grafito y sales precursoras de hidróxido de cobre en agua. Los compuestos de reacción intermedios de hidróxido de cobre se modifican a óxido cúprico-grafeno y éste a óxido cuproso-grafeno. Los compuestos binarios se emplean con éxito como materiales de medición de contenidos de glucosa y peróxido de hidrógeno en soluciones acuosas, utilizándose como biosensores no enzimáticos de esa molécula.
