Subsequently, it consists of the condensation in another coil which embedded in a tank containing the waste water at room temperature. La presente invención tiene como objeto obtener agua para consumo humano a partir de agua residual de una unidad de aire acondicionado. Se usa un método de intercambio de calor, en donde el medio de evaporación es el calor que genera la unidad condensadora y está provista de un sistema que se adapta a cualquier equipo de aire acondicionado. No requiere de ninguna conexión eléctrica adicional para sistemas de bombeo o para generación de calor. Se caracteriza porque un serpentín permite al agua residual generada en el proceso de enfriamiento del aire evaporarse por acción del calor que el compresor del mismo aire acondicionado genera. Posteriormente se condensa en otro serpentín que se encuentra embebido en un tanque que contiene al agua residual a temperatura ambiente.
