Invenţia se referă la chimia coordinativă şi anume la un polimer coordinativ al cobaltului(II) cu baza Schiff - 2,6-diacetilpiridină bis(izonicotinoilhidrazonă), care manifestă proprietăţi adsorbtive.Conform invenţiei, se revendică polimerul coordinativ 2,6-diacetilpiridinbis(izonicotinoilhidrazonato)(2-)cobalt(II)-apă(1/5,75) cu formula {[Co(L)]·5,75H2O}n, obţinut în condiţii solvotermale la temperatura de 120°C, timp de 48 ore, într-un amestec de solvenţi dimetilformamidă/metanol. Polimerul posedă o reţea cristalină poroasă cu o suprafaţă specifică de 841 m2/g calculată după ecuaţia BET şi manifestă proprietăţi adsorbtive.
