Invenţia se referă la motoarele eoliene, în special la o turbină elicoidală, axa de rotaţie a căreia coincide cu direcţia vântului.Turbina elicoidală de vânt conţine axul (1), pe care sunt fixate rigid pe linie elicoidală cu pas constant paletele (2), care au în secţiune normală profil-aripă. Pentru reducerea frânării vântului în turbinele de o lungime mai mare paletele pot fi instalate cu pas diferit al liniei elicoidale, şi anume cu majorare spre ieşirea din turbină.Rezultatul constă în majorarea coeficientului de utilizare a energiei vântului datorită diferenţei vitezelor aerului pe cele două suprafeţe ale paletei şi în funcţionarea eficientă la viteze mici ale vântului.
