description Disclosed are a system and a method for detecting a spurious signal in a global navigation satellite system (GNSS) receiver, which have improved performance. A second sequence is determined based on a consistent sum of SV signals tracked by the GNSS receiver. A first reliability sequence may be associated with the first sequence, and a second reliability sequence may be associated with the second sequence. Correlation statistics of the first sequence are determined on the basis of the second sequence.
