본 발명의 컬러 필터용 안료는, 컬러 필터의 녹색 화소부에 있어서의 도막을 형성하기 위한 안료로서, 상기 도막의 막두께를 1.5μm~2.4μm 또한 조성을 질량 환산으로 상기 안료 1부당 수지 1.25부로 했을 때에, 단체로 C 광원을 사용하여 측색했을 때의 CIE의 XYZ 표색계에 있어서, 식 (A)~(D)로 둘러싸이는 xy 색도 좌표 영역을 표시할 수 있고, 상기 안료가, 식 (1)로 표시되는 화합물인 할로겐화아연 프탈로시아닌 안료를 포함하고, 상기 화합물 1분자 중의 할로겐 원자의 수가 평균 0.2개 이상 10개 이하이고, 상기 화합물 1분자 중의 브롬 원자의 수가 평균 0.1개 이상 10개 이하이며, 또한 상기 화합물 1분자 중의 염소 원자의 수가 평균 0.1개 이상 2개 미만이다. 또한, 식 (A)~(D) 및 식 (1)은 본 명세서 대로이다.
