System of detecting fake license plates and its method by using the same

The present invention relates to a system for detecting counterfeit vehicle license plates. The system comprises: a camera; a filter attached to the front of the camera; a first license plate photo unit of a first photo obtained by taking a photo of the license plate of a vehicle with the camera as the vehicle enters; a rotation drive unit configured to rotate the filter; and a second license plate photo unit of a second photo obtained by taking a photo of the license plate with the camera as the filter is rotated. If the photo of the first license plate photo unit and the photo of the second license plate photo unit are compared, and the photos are the same, it is determined that the license plate is a counterfeit license plate, and the vehicle is not allowed to enter.
