DISPLAY DEVICE CONTROL CIRCUIT AND DRIVING METHOD FOR THE SAME

Embodiments of the present invention can provide a display device and a driving method thereof. The display device comprises: a display panel including a display region and a non-display region; a data driver configured to generate a data signal by receiving an image signal and supply the data signal to the display panel; a gate driver configured to generate a gate signal and supply the generated gate signal to the display panel; a plurality of illumination sensors disposed in the display region and configured to sense the intensity of each emitted light and generate pieces of illumination data; a first control circuit configured to control the data driver and the gate driver and supply the image signal to the data driver; and a second control circuit configured to receive the pieces of illumination data from the plurality of illumination sensors, respectively, calculate first median illumination data from the pieces of illumination data, and adjust the brightness of the display panel corresponding to the first median illumination data.
