Zusammenfassung:The present invention relates to a turbo chiller. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the turbo chiller comprises: a compressor for compressing refrigerant; a condenser for condensing the refrigerant compressed in the compressor; an expansion mechanism for decompressing the refrigerant condensed in the condenser; an evaporator for evaporating the refrigerant decompressed in the expansion mechanism; a leakage detection sensor for detecting a leakage of the refrigerant; and a control unit for determining whether the refrigerant is leaked. When receiving a leak detection signal from the leak detection sensor, the control unit may calculate a discharge superheat degree and determine whether the refrigerant is leaked based on the calculated discharge superheat degree. Accordingly, it is possible to exclude the influence due to the leakage of refrigerant from other products in the vicinity, and to increase the accuracy of determination whether the refrigerant is leaked. 본 발명은 터보 냉동기에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 터보 냉동기는, 냉매를 압축하는 압축기, 압축기에서 압축된 냉매를 응축시키는 응축기, 응축기에서 응축된 냉매를 감압시키는 팽창기구, 팽창기구에서 감압된 냉매를 증발시키는 증발기, 냉매의 누설을 감지하는 누설 감지 센서 및 냉매 누설 여부를 판단하는 제어부를 포함하고, 제어부는 누설 감지 센서로부터 누설 감지 신호를 수신하면, 토출 과열도를 계산하고, 계산된 토출 과열도에 기초하여 냉매의 누설 여부를 판단할 수 있다. 이에 따라, 주변의 다른 제품의 냉매 누설에 의한 영향을 배제하고, 냉매 누설 판단의 정확도를 높일 수 있게 된다.
