Zusammenfassung:The present invention relates to a hard coating for cutting tools, which is formed on a base material such as cemented carbide, has a multi-layer structure alternately and repeatedly stacked, and maintains excellent abrasion resistance and has improved toughness through a composition between each layer forming the multi-layer structure and periodic control of physical properties. According to the present invention, the hard coating for cutting tools is formed on the base material made of the cemented carbide, and the hard coating forms the structure where a first layer containing titanium and nitrogen and a second layer containing the titanium and boron are alternately and repeatedly stacked by at least two layers. The content of boron (B) of the second layer increases from the base material to a surface each time the stacking is alternately repeated. 본 발명은 초경합금과 같은 모재 상에 형성되며, 교대 반복 적층된 다층 구조를 이루고 있으며, 다층 구조를 이루는 각 층 간의 조성 및 물성의 주기적 제어를 통해, 우수한 내마모성을 유지하면서 인성이 향상된 절삭공구용 경질피막에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 절삭공구용 경질피막은, 초경합금으로 이루어진 모재 상에 형성되며, 상기 경질피막은, 티타늄과 질소를 포함하는 제1층과, 티타늄과 붕소를 포함하는 제2층이 적어도 2층 이상 교대 반복하여 적층된 구조를 이루고, 상기 제2층은, 교대 반복될 때마다 모재에서 표면으로 갈수록, B의 함량이 증가하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
