description The present invention relates to a method for continuous casting of a metal strand (1) in a continuous casting machine and an apparatus thereof. The object of the present invention is to change the known continuous casting method so that the formation of cavities or cracks in the strand (1) is prevented. The object is solved by a method according to claim 1, wherein the strand (1) is insulated by a heat insulation portion (9) in a tertiary cooling zone (5), and a heat transfer coefficient (U) of the heat insulation portion (9) is adjusted to increase in the casting direction (G). 본 발명은 연속 주조기 내 금속 스트랜드(1)의 연속 주조를 위한 방법 및 장치에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 과제는 스트랜드(1) 내 공동부들 또는 균열들의 형성이 방지되도록 공지된 연속 주조 방법을 변경하는 것이다. 이와 같은 과제는 청구항 제 1항에 따른 방법에 의해 해결되며, 이때 상기 스트랜드(1)는 3차 냉각 구역(5) 내에서 단열부(9)에 의해 단열되고 상기 단열부(9)의 열전달계수(U)는 주조 방향(G)으로 증가하도록 조절된다.
