Zusammenfassung:The present invention provides a multi-optical axis photoelectric sensor, connectable to an external device, which can reduce the number of wirings. The present invention provides the multi-optical axis photoelectric sensor (100) which includes: a light transmitting unit (1a) having a plurality of light transmitting elements; and a light receiving unit (2a) having a plurality of light receiving elements arranged to face the plurality of light transmitting elements, respectively wherein the multi-optical axis photoelectric sensor is provided with a sensor unit detecting whether each of a plurality of optical axes formed between the light transmitting unit (1a) and the light receiving unit (2a) is in a light blocking state. The multi-optical axis photoelectric sensor (100) is provided with: a control unit (2b) controlling the light receiving unit (2a); a communication cable (101) which is a plurality of signal wirings inputting and outputting signals with respect to the control unit (2b); and a communication unit (2e) making communications with the control unit (2b) and the external device (50) while setting one wiring of the communication cable (101) as a common wiring shared with a communication wiring. 본 발명은 외부 기기와 접속할 수 있는 다광축 광전 센서에 있어서 배선수를 삭감할 수 있는 다광축 광전 센서를 제공한다. 본 발명은 복수의 투광 소자를 갖는 투광부(1a)와, 복수의 투광 소자에 각각 대향 배치된 복수의 수광 소자를 갖는 수광부(2a)를 포함하고, 투광부(1a)와 수광부(2a) 사이에 형성되는 복수의 광축의 각각이 차광 상태에 있는지 여부를 검출하는 센서부를 구비하고 있는 다광축 광전 센서(100)이다. 다광축 광전 센서(100)는, 수광부(2a)를 제어하는 제어부(2b)와, 제어부(2b)에 대하여 신호를 입출력하는 복수의 신호 배선인 통신용 케이블(101)과, 통신용 케이블(101) 중 1개의 배선을 통신 배선과 공용하는 공용 배선으로 제어부(2b)와 외부 기기(50)와의 통신을 행하는 통신부(2e)를 구비하고 있다.
