Zusammenfassung:The present invention relates to a safety vent of a can of a lithium secondary battery. More particularly, the present invention provides a safety vent of a can of a lithium secondary battery, which includes a D-shaped vent formed on the bottom side of the can of the lithium secondary battery which is in the shape of a cylinder having an opened upper portion and a closed lower portion, and has a notch formed along the boundary of the D-shaped vent, and also provides a lithium secondary battery including the same safety vent. The safety vent according to the present invention prevents fracture from being spread to a portion except the notch when the pressure in the can reaches a breakage pressure while maximizing vent opening. Battery safety of the lithium secondary battery including the vent is enhanced. 본 발명은 리튬 이차전지 캔의 안전 벤트에 관한 것으로, 보다 상세하게는 상부가 개방되고 하부가 밀폐된 원통형 리튬 이차전지 캔의 하부 저면에 형성된 D자형 벤트(vent)를 포함하되, 상기 D자형 벤트의 경계면을 따라 노치(notch)가 형성되는 리튬 이차전지 캔의 안전 벤트 및 상기 안전 벤트를 포함하는 리튬 이차전지를 제공하며 본 발명에 따른 안전 벤트는 캔 내부가 파단 압력 도달 시, 노치 이외의 부분으로 파단이 전파되는 것을 방지하면서도 벤트 열림을 극대화할 수 있고, 상기 벤트를 포함하는 리튬 이차전지는 전지 안전성이 향상된다 .
