According to the present invention, the hydro-pneumatic braking system for a monorail vehicle is stably applied to a monorail vehicle by braking the monorail vehicle through hydraulic braking and reducing the overall volume of the braking device. 본 발명은 모노레일 차량용 공유압 제동 장치에 관한 것으로, 모노레일 차량의 차량제어감시장치로부터 제동요구신호가 입력되면 전기신호를 발생하는 제동제어장치와, 상기 제동제어장치에서 출력되는 전기신호를 공기신호로 변환하는 제동작동장치와, 상기 제동작동장치에서 출력되는 공기신호를 유압신호로 변환하는 공전변환장치와, 상기 공전변환장치에서 변환 출력된 유압신호에 의해 마찰제동을 수행하는 유압실린더로 구성되는 것을 특징으로 한다. 본 발명에 따르면, 모노레일 차량의 제동을 유압제동을 통하여 수행하도록 함으로써 전체적으로 제동장치의 부피를 줄일 수 있게 되어 모노레일 차량에 안정적으로 적용할 수 있는 효과가 있다.
