A method for providing a banking service through fingerprint recognition according to the present invention includes the steps of: storing fingerprint data of a client and banknote information corresponding to the fingerprint data; judging whether there is fingerprint input according to client's visit to a bank; recognizing that the client requests a bank transaction service and comparing inputted fingerprint with previously stored fingerprint data, if it is judged that there is the fingerprint input of the client; displaying service items corresponding to the banknote information, if the inputted fingerprint coincides with the fingerprint data; and executing a banking service corresponding to the selected service item according to the selection of the service item of the client.
