According to the present invention, a contact of an axial magnetic field type vacuum circuit breaker is provided with a plurality of inward slits which extends, on a body having a disc shape, from the edge to the inside and is consecutively arranged at regular intervals, provided with first recessed surfaces which are consecutively arranged at regular intervals at the edge of the body between the inward slits, wherein the first recessed surfaces are respectively positioned between the front end of the acute portion of each inclined slit provided on the electrode and each inward slit adjacent to the front end to induce current, which flows diagonally along the inclined slits of the electrode, comparatively in a horizontal direction.
