Zusammenfassung: | The present invention relates to a body composition for light-weight ceramic ware containing a body raw material slurry with a water content of 20-45%, and 0.1~20part by weight of cerium oxide(CeO2) for 100 part by weight of the body raw material slurry, while containing a body raw material with clay of 25-38 wt %, feldspar of 20-40 wt%, silica of 25-40 wt %, ant a manufacturing method of the light weight ceramic ware using the same. According to the present invention, light weight ceramic ware can be manufactured by forming pores in a firing stage with the use of cerium oxide(CeO2) , and the light weight ceramic ware has a very light characteristic due to a large reduction in specific weight caused by pore formation with distribution in the light weight ceramic ware of relatively large pores in excess of 10μm in size.
