Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE: A novel method for preparing 2-(2-aminoethyl)-1-methylpyrrolidine is provided to obtain high purity 2-(2-aminoethyl)-1-methylpyrrolidine with high yield by simply hydrolyzing an intermediate material in a strong acid solution. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing 2-(2-aminoethyl)-1-methylpyrrolidine of chemical formula I comprises the step of hydrolyzing 2-(2-cyclopropylaminoethyl)-1-methylpyrrolidine of chemical formula II under the presence of strong acid. A method for preparing the compound of chemical formula II comprises the step of reacting 2-(2-hydroxyethyl)-1-methylpyrrolidine of chemical formula III with 2-cycloproylamine of chemical formula IV.
