Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE: A porous lightweight ceramics and a manufacturing method of the same are provided to cost effectively implement manufacturing processes using white clay which emits gas at 900 deg. C or more of high temperatures. CONSTITUTION: A porous lightweight ceramics includes white clay. A plurality of pores is distributed in the ceramics, and the specific gravity of the ceramics is in a range between 1.5 and 2.3. The white clay includes 70-80 weight% of SiO2, 10-20 weight% of Al2O3, 0.1-6 weight% of K2O, 0.01-2 weight% of FeO3, 0.01-2 weight% of CaO, 0.01-1 weight% of MgO, 0.01-3 weight% of Na2O, 0.01-1 weight% of Li2O, 0.01-1 weight% of MnO, 0.001-0.5 weight% of TiO2, and 0.001-0.5 weight% of P2O5. A manufacturing method of the porous lightweight ceramics includes the following steps of: pulverizing a starting material containing the white clay; removing iron(Fe) components from the pulverized material; shaping and drying the material without the iron components; and plasticizing the shaped material at a temperature between 1,000 and 1,500 deg. C.
