TRANSIENT CURRENT MONITORING DEVICE AND METHOD FOR DC VOLTAGE SOURCE SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A transient current monitoring apparatus of a DC voltage source system and a monitoring method thereof are provided to improve voltage stability of a DC bus and prevent ground malfunction of the DC bus by including DC bus protection and control logic. CONSTITUTION: A transient current monitoring apparatus(100) comprises a detection part(10), a comparator(20), and a controller(30). The detection part detects a transient current due to harmonic waves or LC resonance generation by being installed in a DC bus line side. The transient current comparator receives detection information in order to compare the transient current of a DC bus with a predetermined maximum value. The transient current comparator creates a set signal when a comparison value exceeds the predetermined maximum value. The controller controls a reactive power output process by controlling a phase angle according to the set signal received from the comparator.
