Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: A melt blocking device in a temporary runner is provided to effectively block a melt flowing along a branch of the temporary runner during tapping on the bottom of a blast furnace. CONSTITUTION: A melt blocking device(100) in a temporary runner comprises a frame structure(120) which is located above a branch(21) of the temporary runner and moves up and down by a lifting unit(300), and a pair of blocking plates(131,132) which are installed in the center of the frame structure at an interval by a spacer rod and located in the branch to cut off the flow of melt when the frame structure moves down.
