SHAPE OF THE COMMON EXHAUST PIPE FOR DIESEL ENGINE

PURPOSE: A common exhaust pipe for a multi-cylinder diesel engine is provided to change the location of an exhaust gas maximum pressure pulse by connecting top and bottom main exhaust pipes to the common exhaust pipe. CONSTITUTION: A common exhaust pipe for a multi-cylinder diesel engine comprises top and bottom main exhaust pipes(10,20) and a common exhaust pipe(40). A turbine(30) is installed at a free end of the top and bottom main exhaust pipes. The top and bottom exhaust pipes are connected to the common exhaust pipe. Several cylinder exhaust pipes are connected to a cylinder exhaust pipe(50) on the top and bottom exhaust pipes. The common exhaust pipe connects the top main exhaust pipe and bottom main exhaust pipe. The common exhaust pipe is V-shape. The common exhaust pipe has the difference of the translation distance of the exhaust gas pressure pulse. The common exhaust pipe is connected to the cylinder positioned mostly far from the turbine.
