Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE: An optical fiber core diffuser and an optical fiber core diffusing method capable of stably diffusing the core of the optical fiber are provided to diffuse the core of optical fiber to various external diameters. CONSTITUTION: Left/right side optical fiber fixing chucks(21, 22) are installed in a frame(10). The left/right side optical fiber fixing chuck fixes an optical fiber. A fixing chuck driving unit drives the left/right side optical fiber fixing chuck. A heating unit diffuses a core and heats the optical fiber fixed at the left/right side optical fiber fixing chuck. A translation distance sensor senses the separation distance of the left/right side optical fiber fixing chuck. A control unit controls the fixing chuck driving part according to the separation distance value of the left/right side optical fiber fixing chuck.
