Zusammenfassung:	An apparatus and a method for searching optimum route, and a program storage medium thereof are provided to obtain a best route in a short time by reducing the time needed in a search. An external memory device(200) memorizes detected data including the information about the route of the node to the connecting point. A simplification unit(5) extracts the information related to the node which becomes a branch point, a inflection point, and an end point among the information about route. An access data file constructing unit(6) prepares a connection information of route. A detecting unit searches the best suited route candidate based on the access data file.
