COMPOSITION FOR TREATING OR PREVENTING METABOLIC SYNDROME-RELATED DISEASES COMPRISING DESALINIZED MAGMA SEAWATER

A composition which contains desalinized mineral water from magma seawater is provided to suppress diabetes and obesity with desalinized mineral water, prevent and treat metabolic syndrome related disease. A composition for preventing and treating metabolic syndrome comprises a desalinized mineral water of magma seawater as an active ingredient. The desalinized mineral water from magma seawater comprises 1-100 ppb of germanium. The mineral water of magma seawater is obtained by desalinizing magma seawater from water in Cheju island. The treatment of metabolic syndrome is performed through the inhibition of acetyl-CoA carboxylase activation, and the increase of AMP-activated protein kinase, protein kinase B, or extracellular signal-regulated kinase activation. The metabolic syndrome comprises impaired glucose tolerance, complication by the impaired glucose tolerance, and the hypertension and hyperlipidemia.
