Zusammenfassung:	A revetment block and the construction method are provided to reduce the labor and cost required for a foundation work for a revetment crib by forming a foundation on the lower part of the crib for maintaining a crib stably after tamping the in-situ ground. A revetment block comprises a foundation(1) provided with a support groove, and a crib(2) formed by piling up horizontal frames(21) provided with a horizontal fastening groove(211) and vertical frames(22) provided with a vertical fastening groove(212) to cross each other in the horizontal direction on the upper part of the foundation, a connecting rod inserted to the support groove at one end and making the horizontal frames and the vertical frames piled through the horizontal fastening grooves and the vertical fastening grooves at the other end, and a pedestal(4) formed continuously on the inside of the foundation and the crib.
