Zusammenfassung:	A display device for a refrigerator is provided to control the brightness of a backlight according to the distance between a user and the refrigerator without using any input elements of the refrigerator. A display device for a refrigerator includes a sensor(11) for sensing distance of a user, a backlight driving part(13) for supplying a voltage from a power supply(16) to a backlight(14) according to a driving signal such as a PWM(Pulse Width Modulation) signal, and a control part such as a microcomputer(12) for setting a duty ratio of the driving signal for the backlight driving part according to the distance between the user and the refrigerator recognized by the sensor signal.
