Zusammenfassung:	A lamp housing and an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) having the same are provided to prevent damage of the lamp by ensuring mechanical stiffness against the external impacts. A lamp housing includes a main body with upper and lower surfaces and a lamp, a cover unit(129b) which is prolonged from at least one of the upper and lower surfaces of the main body and guides a light guide plate(126), and a buffer unit(129a) which is formed in at least one of the upper and lower surfaces of the main body and absorbs impacts of the light guide plate.
