CHASSIS BASE AND THE PLASMA DISPLAY DEVICE

A chassis base and a plasma display device using the same are provided to prevent previously corrosion and to reduce a manufacturing cost by forming a fragment part having high ionization tendency thereon. A chassis base(304) includes a flat plate(305) and a fragment part(314). The flat plate includes a plurality of combination holes(306). The fragment part is formed on the flat plate. The fragment part is formed of a material having ionization tendency larger than ionization tendency of the flat plate. The flat plate includes Fe as a component. The fragment part is formed of a metal plate including at least one or more components of Mn, Zn, K, Ca, Na, Mg, and Al. A plasma display device includes a panel for displaying images by using plasma discharge, the chassis base facing the panel, having the flat plate including the combination holes, and the fragment part formed on the flat plate, and a driving circuit unit coupled with the combination hole of the chassis base in order to transmit an electrical signal to the panel.
