Zusammenfassung:	A weed control composition comprising the extract of Cassia tora and a method for preparation thereof are provided to inhibit growth and seed germination of weeds, reduce growth competition between crops and weeds, and prevent reduction of crop yield. The weed control composition for inhibiting growth and seed germination of weeds comprises the extract of Cassia tora containing (-)-alpha-pinene represented by the formula(1), 2-beta-pinene represented by the formula(2), camphene represented by the formula(3), camphor represented by the formula(4), endo-borneol represented by the formula(5) and bornyl formate represented by the formula(6) as active ingredients, wherein the Cassia tora extract is prepared by extracting Cassia tora with at least one solvent selected from group comprising H2O, MeOH-CHCl3-H2O, EtOH-CHCl3-H2O, MeOH-EtOAc-H2O, EtOH-EtOAc-H2O, MeOH-ether-H2O or EtOH-ether-H2O.
