PREPARATION METHOD OF DRY POLYMER COMPOSITION BY COAGULATING EMULSION POLYMER WITH CATIONIC SURFACTANT AND DRYING IT, AND POLYMER COMPOSITION PREPARED BY THE METHOD

PURPOSE: A method for preparing a dry polymer composition which is remarkably reduced in powder dusting level and is improved in minimum ignition energy, and a polymer composition prepared by the method. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of coagulating at least one emulsion polymer with at least one cationic surfactant; and drying the obtained coagulated one. Preferably the cationic surfactant is used together with at least one another flocculant selected from the group consisting of a metal salt, a metal salt of an organic compound, an organic acid, an inorganic acid, a nonionic surfactant, a zwitterion surfactant and their mixture; and the cationic surfactant is selected from the group consisting of a (C12-C20) amine compound, lauryl pyridinium chloride, octyl benzyl trimethyl ammonium chloride, hexadecyl trimethyl ammonium chloride, hexadecyl trimethyl ammonium bromide, dodecyl trimethyl ammonium chloride, an oxygen-containing amine, a quaternary amine salt and an ester of a quaternary amine salt.
