description PURPOSE: A brake lining with a coating layer for a ship and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to prevent corrosion from infiltration of moisture by contacting the brake band to the brake lining efficiently without grinding with coating the outer surface of the brake lining with silicone and rubber. CONSTITUTION: A brake lining is formed by weaving raw yarn formed by mixing various additives with asbestos fiber, and an adhesive is spread on the brake lining(S1). The brake lining is formed secondarily through heat treatment at high pressure and high temperature(S2). The secondary forming process is performed at 70 deg.C, and the brake lining is dried for 10 minutes to manufacture coating mixture for improving elastic force and tension(S3'). A coating layer is formed by coating the coating mixture on the surface of the brake lining(S4). The brake lining with the coating layer is processed at 130 deg.C, and dried for 35 minutes(S5).
