Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE: An auxiliary electrode for an electrochromic display using a lithium titanium oxide film is provided to obtain a transparent auxiliary electrode without impairing properties of a titanium oxide film having high deterioration resistance. CONSTITUTION: A tungsten oxide film(12), as an electrochromic layer, is manufactured on ITO(Indium-Tin-Oxide-coated) glasses(10,11) by a sputtering method. A lithium titanium oxide film(Li_x Ti_1-x O2)(14), as an auxiliary electrode, is deposited on the ITO glasses. A PC(Propylene Carbonate)LiClO4(13), as an electrolyte, is provided to supply lithium ion into the tungsten oxide film and the lithium titanium oxide film. An amount of lithium contained in the lithium titanium oxide film is in a range of 0 to 0.3. 본 발명은 일렉트로크로믹 디스플레이(electrochromic display)에 사용되는 보조전극 (counter electrode) 에 관한 것으로, 특히 전해질에 의한 열화현상을 줄일 수 있고 보조전극 내에 함유된 리튬이온 (lithium ion) 을 일렉트로크로믹반응에 직접 이용할 수 있으면서 보조전극 내에서 리튬이온의 이동성을 향상시킨 보조전극용 리튬티타늄 옥사이드 필름 (lithium titanium oxide film) 을 제조하는 방법을 제공한다. 본 발명에 따르면, 리튬티타늄옥사이드 (LiTiO) 필름 내에 함유된 리튬의 양이 0 에서 0.3 까지의 범위에 해당하도록 하여 보조전극으로서 최적의 조건을 나타낼 수 있도록 하였다.
