The lithium battery comprises an anode comprising lithium-containing metal oxide or sulfur compound; a cathode comprising metal lithium, lithium alloy or carbon material; a separator positioned between the cathode and the anode; and a lithium salt, an organic solvent, and an organic acid peroxide. 본 발명은 리튬염과 유기용매를 포함하는 유기전해액에 있어서, 열 또는 빛에 의하여 라디칼을 형성할 수 있는 유기산 과산화물을 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기전해액을 제공한다. 본 발명에 따른 유기전해액을 채용한 리튬 전지는 극판과 유기전해액 사이의 계면에 피막을 형성하여 유기전해액의 분해를 억제하고, 전지의 수명특성을 개선하는 효과를 가지고 있다.
